WORCS ROUND TWO AT RACETOWN 395
To summarize this weekends event we had a fairly rough day at the office as both Bobby Bonds and Kyle Summers were riding injured. Bonds hurt his wrist two weeks ago and although he rode with a brace it was phenomenal that he achieved the results he did. His lap times were consistent with the leaders in the beginning as he had third place by over forty seconds but the pain was too much and he couldn't hold on at the end of the race but persevered to finish fifth overall. Kyle Summers weekend started off
with an injury as a rider entered the track in practice when Kyle was in the air forcing Kyle to take evasive action clipping the riders bike and in the process damaging his right knee. After not walking on the leg all day Saturday and icing it Kyle decided to try and ride Sunday but the pain got the best of him.
Teammate Bobby Garrison finished seventh overall to remain in the top ten in the points race and is looking more and more like his old self after not racing most of last year.
Garrison is off to Florida to ride the first two GNCC's and the Daytona Supercross as his teammates will be taking some time off in the next couple of weeks to get ready for the next Worcs event at Lake Havasu the 22nd of March. The riders are getting more and more comfortable on the new 2009 Honda CRF450 as testing has given the riders the confidence they need to compete at the level they need to be.
Our sponsors have really supported our effort this early in the season and we look forward to a successful competitive racing debut this year. After two events Bobby Bonds is only five points out of the championship with eight races remaining, a great position to be in to defend his title.
